31 guests' feedbackWe were there for 7 weeks and had a very nice, relaxing holiday. Nice and quiet residential area. The house is a little older but nice. The kitchen is well equipped. Good bedrooms and very comfortable beds. Bed sheets, towels, and bath towels were changed regularly. Very nice outdoor area with a lovely terrace, nice pool, and great garden with plenty of shade. The indoor terrace area is also very nice. Our host was very nice and very helpful. Very easy to reach and responds immediately. If possible, we will come back.
Lovely spacious house with everything you need. The braai room is a bonus and the garden is beautiful.
The location was fantastic and the house was roomy with a gorgeous backyard. The house is old and needs to be updated, but it was perfectly fine for our stay. Barbara, who manages the property, is amazing. She catered to our every need and was incredibly responsive. Such a pleasure to deal with. There is serious load shedding (power outages) in Cape Town, and Barbara did everything she could to help us deal with the inconvenience. We recommend the house to potential renters.
It was nice, lots of space and quiet. The kids were having a blast and my soon-to-be and I were over the clouds with the comfort of home. Will use it over and over again.
We can't wait to visit again, the place is gorgeous and has everything you need. The service I received was so amazing and accommodating. This was probably the best experience I've had with holiday accommodation. Would definitely recommend and will surely be using Ferndale Lodge again in future.
The place was a bit vintage and not that modernised, especially the rooms but it's beautiful. The lawn at the back was so big we literally sat up all night and spoke. The pictures provided did not justify the place enough.
WiFi was a plus and the extra amenities made the stay pleasurable.
It was such a pleasure staying at this house. The pics don't do justice at all, its so stunning! All utensils are provided, easily accessible, the owner is very friendly and professional. It is ideal for friends and family and not couples as there's about 2 beds in their bedrooms. Out of 10 I rate it 20!
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Ferndale lodge, even though it was short, only for the weekend. The host was super helpful and accommodation, even brought a little present for for grandmother, which really wasn't expected at all but I appreciate it truly. We were there as a family to celebrate my grandmothers 80th birthday, and she loved the place as well. Beautiful tranquil setting with a lush garden perfect for a peaceful outdoor breakfast. I would highly recommend Ferndale Lodge for a relaxing weekend away with family or friends. I will definitely be booking this place again.

The whole family had a great time, The only downside to the weekend at Ferndale Lodge was the weather! But we still had a great time, and decided we would have to book at this venue again to enjoy the pool and beautiful grass area to the fullest.

Everything is perfect, both inside and outside.
The house was very big, so we had a lot of space, which was very nice. We were there in August, when it's winter and the house was cold. There were blankets available, but sometimes the outdoor temperature was higher than inside. In Cape Town there was a drought and the water had to be used sparingly in the house, which was communicated with a lot of notes hanging in the house.
Myself, kids and family absolutely loved the place. Will definitely book a holiday there again.

Everything was perfect. Everything we needed, I would definitely use Ferndale Lodge again, but this time for a family getaway. It's perfect for a family that wants to relax.
Ferndale Lodge is clean and tidy. There is enough space with a playground and toys for children. We were surprised with a fresh liter of milk and a bottle of water in the fridge! Very considerate as we drove far.

Our family was warmly welcomed by Barbra and during our stay at Ferndale Lodge Barbra or Terence had no problem helping out with anything. The family home is ideally located for all activities and only two minutes drive from the Constantia Village shopping centre. The house itself was very clean and there were even detergents, bottled water and milk already in the fridge. The house has plenty of space and the children enjoyed the large backyard and swimming pool. The neighbourhood is very safe and there is security staff at the entrance to the street. Terence and Barbra were wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend Ferndale Lodge.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Very comfortable house with everything you need. The massive tree in the garden is almost reason enough to book this house. A bit of a smell of old cigarette smoke bothered my wife a bit, but I couldn't really smell it.
It is a beautiful house, so much space, great garden, many different places where you can sit and have a meal: inside, outside in the garden or in between at the yard. Huge practical kitchen with all the equipment you may need. Everything is very clean as well. We felt welcome and very well taken care of. A big thank you. Looking forward to coming back.

Great property in a beautiful and safe location for a very low rate. We loved the garden and outside braai area. The service and attention to detail by the hosts, Barbara and Terrence, was incredible. The minute something was wrong they were just a text message away and everything was resolved.
